I am aware of my European background and the journey that my ancestors have made through this land, the impact that their history has had on the land and in influencing my life.   My memory and the memory of the land can be quite conflicting with the notion that much of my work has a European feel to it, but I am overwhelmed by the feelings that I have for the land of my home.  The notion of ancestral memory intrigues me. 

Many emotions occupy my mind as I paint and draw.  I portray not what lies before me but the emotion that I feel within my heart and soul.
